Rant: Cold medicine
How complicated this stuff has gotten? Ridiculous. Night and Day formulas with combo packs, all of the medicine has multiple ingredients. I have a runny nose. I want something to stop a runny nose. I couldn't find [expletive] to stop a runny nose. Congestion yes, but runny no. I'm not congested, I just have a lot of snot. ANd I don't have a cough, or a fever - all I need is some anti-snot medicine. But I'll be damned if they sell anything like that. Maybe it was there and I just couldn't find it in the forest of medicines that are being offered.
Bring the good stuff back I say!

I don't know about Illinois, but the good snot stuff - Sudafed - is behind the pharmacy counter in Kentucky. You need a driver's license, or other ID, to buy one package and you best not need a second package within an unreasonable amount of time.
A few years ago I bought a box of Sudafed. Then a week or so later wanted Advil Sinus which is Sudafed+Ibuprofen. I forget exactly how it was pointed out, but it seemed like the pharmacist asked me about my previous purchase.(Separate places, like Kroger then Walgreens) I didn't realize meth cookers used *anything* with pseudoephedrine, Advil or no Advil. I can't remember now if I was allowed to make the purchase, but I do recall at a minimum getting hassled about it.

Are you cooking meth? Sounds like it.

Get some peppermint Jim. Stops a runny nose dead in it's tracks.
