You know what I don't like? Shell with half wit's working the counter. Especially when it's 2 above zero and your tire pressure is low and you need change for a dollar.

I went out at lunch to check the tire pressure to make sure I could make it home. It was 32psi (I put 34 in), went out to grab something at lunch and then re-checked it and it was 34. So I either a) have a slow leak and I'll get home fine or 2) I have no leak, it's just so god damned cold that the pressure has dropped in the tire. I normally check fairly frequently - 1x per week - but it's been so god damned cold that I haven't done that because I didn't want to take my gloves off.

Low tire pressure, another gift of winter.

My tire alarm went off with the cold weather too, so now I'm curious about this.

It should be about 1 psi for 10 degrees F, so if you were down at 22 psi, there was probably some leaking. Though if prior to today you hadn't added air for several months, it wouldn't be too surprising to lose ~5 psi to normal leakage.

There was a complete cluster [expletive] at the one operating compressor within 5 miles today, so I'm guessing a bunch of tire sensor alarms were going off. 22 might be low, it might have been 23-24. But it was definitely lower in that tire than the other 3. It was 2 degrees above zero at 06:52 AM at the closest weather station this morning. If 's 1psi for 10 degrees of F, then I could imagine it's down 6-7 psi since I put air in the tires on a nice 60-70 degree day.

We had some mild winters when Lil Freedette was toddling. 90% of days she would walk the dog with me. There would be an occassional playground weather day. Snow was so rare and gone that I would rush her into snowsuit and get sled out before it melted.
