Re: The Beer Thread
The worst part for me of drinking it out of the aluminum bottles is it feels colder on the hands than what I'm getting from the taste/mouth. Just....disgusting. It may be ice cold but I feel like its luke warm and luke warm bud light is disgusting.

Re: The Beer Thread
yep...i feel like light beers are better in the bottle. Miller high Life is a godawful beer, but it's not so bad in the bottle.Freed Roger wrote:Seems like the darker and heavier the beer, I want it in a glass
and on your sample pack rant--i get what your saying but Leiny's summer shandy isn't all that bad--in fact i got that same sampler pack youre talking about and i liked all the beers in it. And im not even a fan of octoberfest.
but i tend to agree.
i may as well own stock in leiny's at this point.

Re: The Beer Thread
Bottle vs. glass really comes down to the style of beer you are drinking, and whether or not aroma should factor into the taste. Traditionally, a pilsner type beer should be served in a tall, slender glass allowing the extra light color to be shown off and minimizing the amount of aroma pulled into your nose while taking a drink. They're best for bottles today. Who wants to smell a Budweiser? Meanwhile, porters and IPA's and such are better served in a wide mouth glass, allowing you to take a good whiff while partaking.
So there you go. Simple rule of thumb. Do I want to smell this beer? If yes, put it in a glass.

Re: The Beer Thread
Nobody wants to smell a Budweiser, my beer of choice, so I am correct in drinking it out of a bottle.
