The New Holland Dragon's Milk is such a tremendous beer. It's a top five for me.

I drank 3 new belgium pumpkicks last night and, I'm not going to lie, they kicked my ass. I'm not man enough to drink pumpkicks.

Got a hold of New Glarus Staghorn Oktoberfest. It's smooth drinking beer. Wish it had a bit more of that sweet/spicy oomph. When it comes to Oktoberfests I've had this year:

Ayinger

Sam Adams
Abita
New Glarus
Schlafly
Leinenkugels

I love Old Rasputin but I can't drink it without thinking of my ex, since she was the one who turned me on to it. We'd sit on her porch swing drinking Old Rasputin and talking about Cindy Sherman and Gabriel Garcia Marquez.

If you'll excuse me I have to weep.

Schlafly's Pumpkin Ale is still rated like the #2 or #3 best pumpkin beer in the US on BeerAdvocate.

The top dogs in Upstate NY are Southern Tier's Pumking and Dogfish Head's Punk'in. I'm not a big fan of Pumking since it has too much spice - Schlafly's is just right. Another very good one up here is Wolaver's Pumpkin Ale. Punk'in is fantastic, but I like the Wolaver's more. I like Schlafly's even moreso than that though. I'm really looking forward to moving to South Carolina in a couple weeks, as Tennessee is in the distribution area for Schlafly beer. Would a four hour drive to Knoxville specifically to buy a [expletive] load of Schlafly Pumpkin Ale be considered too much?

I think Wolaver's Pumpkin Ale could actually be jim's most despised beer of all time. It hits the trifecta for him:

1) comes in a four-pack
2) pumpkin flavored
3) certified organic
