Avery adding a bourbon barrel aged pumpkin porter to it’s annual fall releases (joining Rumpkin). I’m not a huge fan of pumpkin beers, but it’s probably worth a shot.

Eno Sarris: I really enjoyed Almanac’s Sour Pumpkin. Like the only pumpkin I’ve liked.

Eno Sarris: If you do something other than cinnamon in a brown, then I might like your pumpkin beer.

do you agree that pumpkin beers suck, no matter who makes them?

Eno Sarris: Mostly, but if there’s a twist, I’ll try it.

if you were sitting on a beach on a perfect day, what beer would be in your cooler next to you

Eno Sarris: Stone Enjoy By or maybe something lighter. Had some Bikini Beer from Evil Twin — 2.7%, light, fresh, great taste.

if you were sitting in a 1 bedroom apt on a broken futon watching baseball on a 24″ tube TV that’s standing on an old milk crate, what would be in your cooler next to you?

Eno Sarris: Double Jack.
Ale Asylum out of Madison has a solid selection of beers. They football their IPAs which are ok, but their darker beers (madtown nut brown, contorter porter, ambergeddon) are great.
disappointed my wife couldn't snag New Glarus Staghorn Oktoberfest...only avail at the source. Oh well, another trip to the Mothership may be warranted..
Also, Sam Adams Oktoberfest is good and priced right. I like better than Schlaflys Oktoberfest
Hey Jim, yesterday the lady and I went to our local snobby beer store and spent $70 on pumpkin beers. A couple six packs (a create-your-own and a Red Hook "Outta Your Gourd Pumpkin"), a couple four packs (He Said He Said), and a couple bombers (Great Pumpkin imperial stout and Sam Adams Double Pumpkin). Total was definitely less than a case of beer.
The He Said He Said is probably my favorite so far. A four pack of cans, and it was a collaboration between Elysian and 21st Amendment breweries - two Baltic pumpkin porters and two Belgian pumpkin tripels.
