The Blue Jays are not winning it all this year.
It's so weird to see these names as punchlines after investing so much hope in the both of them.
Re-read some of the interviews provided to GRB, those are weird to see, too.

IIRC, they didn't want to trade Gregerson. He was on a list of players available in a PTBNL deal and got selected, to the immediate regret of the Cardinals.

Colby Rasmus was benched Thursday due to tardiness.

Rasmus was apparently consistently late to the park during last weekend's series in New York and showed up well after everyone else on Thursday in Houston. It's not clear at this point if the benching might be a multi-game situation. Blue Jays manager John Gibbons is expected to address the issue shortly.

Good Lord.

****

David Freese posted by far his best month of the season, with an .814 OPS in July (minus today, I'm looking at BBRef), increasing his HR total from two to six. Still has a .657 OPS for the year.

As Gregor Chisolm awoke one morning from uneasy dreams he found himself transformed in his bed into a gigantic Canadian goose.

Todd Worrell, okay his hot lawyer daughter anyway, is apparently involved in some sort of scandal and left the Circuit Attorney's office. Along with Dan Dierdorff's daughter, another prosecutor.
