Deuce might have a occipital too. Not good.

Injuries to key guys aside, your best and most important player being [expletive] and still winning is a huge luxury. Can't fix Jozy's hammy, can't fix Clint's face but Bradley can bounce back.
can Dempsey not play with a facemask?

All i know about portugal is that they are down 3 key players for our matchup and ronaldo sure didn't look like much of a force, but that was against a stout german defense.

Are you saying Dempsey might have a brain injury?

Simplest way to describe it might be ugly. For a long time, America's plan was to play defense, counter attack, and try to score from set pieces. Lots of low scoring games; a draw is a good result. The play was pretty ugly, with the other side dominating possession.

This was an American style win.

Ironically, we haven't played that way under Klinsmann and he's vowed not to play that way. First WC game under his leadership and that's way we do.

Thinking about the next match... What would you think about this lineup?

-------- Dempsey --------
Zusi --- Bradley --- Bedoya
--- Jones --- Beckerman ---
Beasley - Besler - Cameron - Johnson

Dempsey can create up top better than Johannson and Wondo. You've got three guys who can create and distribute the ball to feed Dempsey. And the wingers are better with the ball at their feet than Jones is. Bradley is free to roam. You have a six man defense, with Jones able to push and Johnson is freer to make runs.

Lol, orbital. My bad, bros. CLINTON DREW DEMPSEY might a fractured orbital bone.

He will play. He'll Rip Hamilton mask it up if he has to.

It's a possibility. Deuce isn't a target player and doesn't get enough touches when he's been deployed like that, but he can do it in a pinch. It might help to put Mix in instead of Bedoya or Zusi.

I'd bet we get a more like-for-like replacement with Wondo starting so Clint can still pick up the ball outside the 18 and run at the defense.
