Re: 2014 World Cup
A lot of young unknowns mixed with the veteran Sneijder-Robben-Van Persie triumvirate. No one saw this beat down coming. I love the World Cup.go birds wrote:man the netherlands looks STOUT

Re: 2014 World Cup
random--but does anyone here remember Brian Ching?
Anyway, he's dating a friend of mine in houston and last year we all went to Boston for a mutual friend's wedding.
Hung out with Brian for a solid week, not knowing who he was and that he played for the USMNT for 8 years.
Also, Spain is getting EMBARASSED!!!

Ching went to the 06 cup. Classic MLS American forward. Hard worker and strong.
Chile hates this result. Feel bad for them. Spain should rebound and Chile is going to be, like the US, a really good team that won't advance.

Thrill: what's your opinion on Robben? He is a damn good player but some people say he is selfish player?trill wrote:Ching went to the 06 cup. Classic MLS American forward. Hard worker and strong.

Re: 2014 World Cup
He's a tier below great, but he's been very consistent when healthy and his speed and technique with his left foot have made him an elite player for about a decade now. But yes, he's a selfish jerk by all accounts. Most of the best goal scorers are.Dillagii wrote:Thrill: what's your opinion on Robben? Do hardcore soccer fans hate the wave as much as baseball fans do?
