Did the Tony Rasmus stuff ever bubble to the surface in the Toronto media since the trade?

I don't know what else we could've had for Rasmus. And I know how his career has panned out since then (ie, very good in 2013, otherwise mehhhhh). That was a weird deal.
It was decided he couldn't stay in STL. After that conclusion was made, they did what they could.

I seem to recall that it did, but not nearly to the same extent.

Kyle McClellan (shoulders) plans to audition for teams in late June or early July.
McClellan is coming off offseason labrum surgery on both shoulders. It's the second time he's had his pitching shoulder operated on, as he missed big chunks of the 2012 and 2013 campaigns while recovering. McClellan will turn just 30 next month, but he'd have to be considered a long shot at this point to make it back to the majors.

Phillies signed RHP Jason Marquis to a minor league contract.
Marquis, 35, is currently making his way back from Tommy John surgery last August. He'll report to extended spring training Wednesday and could serve as depth for the starting rotation if he continues to make progress in his rehab.

That's asking/hoping a lot for a 35-year old who's coming off TJ surgery.

Freese's career is becoming the stuff of Greek tragedy.

Gotta wonder how long Anaheim's willing to live with that.

At least Salas is doing well for the Angels.
