Sure, you get some sprints in, but not enough on a regular basis to really count as a workout. IMO. It's fun, and better than sitting on the couch, but I wouldn't say it's better than 30 minutes on a treadmill or anything like that.
You must have never pitched or caught in baseball.

Or played the outfield, or shortstop, or 2nd base...

I've done it all. And I stand by my statement. Fast pitching and catching while having to actually squat are exceptions, agreed.

The way I pitched, I got a [expletive] ton of running in from backing up 3rd base and home plate.

You should play CF for softball...all you do is sprint.

Roaming Shortstop* FTW (or Roman -as I prefer to call it.)

*IMO, Roman Shortstop rarely works. But it's a good cow-tipping prank to play on the youngster of your team.

Softball is pretty laid back, but baseball? No way.

If you want something fun to do, consider those Warrior Dash/Mud Run type races

...or stop being a wuss with this warrior dash/mud run where you have to wait in line to do an obstacle...and start trail running/running long distances.
