Skip Schumaker has been diagnosed with a dislocated shoulder and is expected to miss at least one month of action.
Schumaker sustained the injury diving for a ball in the outfield during Friday's Cactus League contest. He was expected to begin the season in a utility role for the Reds, a role which could now go to Ramon Santiago or Chris Nelson.

Rafael Furcal will test his injured hamstring by running the bases on Saturday.
If all goes well, he'll return to the Marlins lineup in the coming days. The veteran infielder is still expected to begin the season as the Marlins starting second baseman, but he remains a poor fantasy option and is unlikely to keep himself off the disabled list.

Think the Reds would be interested in Jay or Robinson?

Ryan Jackson had a big night at the plate on Friday, plating three runs in leading the Padres to a 7-2 victory over the Mariners in Cactus League play.
Jackson finished the night 2-for-4 with a double and a run scored. The 25-year-old got the start at shortstop in this one, and is expected to function in a super utility role with the Padres should he crack the Opening Day roster.
Marlins released INF Ty Wigginton.
Wigginton, a non-roster invitee, hit .147 (5-for-34) over 23 games this spring. The 36-year-old could be reaching the end of the line.
David Freese was scratched from the Angels' Cactus League lineup Tuesday due to leg tightness.
This has to be a concern for the Angels, as Freese has dealt with multiple leg injuries over the past two seasons. He has yet to record an extra-base hit in 54 plate appearances this spring with his new team.
