I'm just not going to eat dog ever. I don't care how fancy they prepare it or what kind of sauce they drizzle on it. That's just not for me.
Would you eat viande de cheval in France?
Probably. I ate mule once when I was in France. Horse is horse, mule is mule, but wagyu bavette is not something you should be eating. Could get worms from that.
Before leaving for France my girlfriend made me promise that I wouldn't eat horse. I didn't order it, but I tried my friends just so I can say I ate horse.

I invented a device, called Burger on the Go. It allows you to obtain six regular sized hamburgers, or twelve sliders, from a horse without killing the animal. George Foreman is still considering it, Sharper Image is still considering it, SkyMall is still considering it, Hammacher Schlemmer is still considering it. Sears said no.

I'll eat just about anything as long as I know what it is - problem is I really can not understand at all what these menus are saying. And I have asked the wait staff, and I've yet to run across a haltz that can explain it. They grope for new set of equally incomprehensible words to describe it which don't help at all.

It's just food for god's sake. I refuse to believe it needs to be this complicated.

Jim? You've had bavette. It's from the sirloin behind the porterhouse and in front of the back leg. Sometimes it's called something else.

Flap steak. Bottom sirloin. In France it has a name, can't think of it.
