I really liked the season finale. I like seeing Don laid low for his behavior. I like seeing Ted Chaough make the right choice for his family. I like seeing Pete Campbell get treated like a petulant baby by his wife and Bob Benson.
Meh. I guess that if one wished for Don to be punished, this season was awesome. Me, I got so sick of Ted Chaough being presented as the saintly anti-Don that I really wanted someone to kick him in the nuts.

It's good not great. If you like period crime dramas, you'll like it. If you're looking for something to compete with The Sopranos, The Wire or that kind of HBO prestige drama, it's not going to cut it.

We were watching at the in-laws....the entire thing. Even 20 minutes prior we watched the countdown to when the pre-walk show went on the air. Then watched the pre-walk show, and the prayer with the televangelist etc etc. The whole time I was hoping for an updraft to blow the co-host's skirt up and hoping weather would clear so Cardinal game would come on.
But the walk itself was indeed intense. It felt weird watching it.

Thanks. I watched about half of the 1st episode last night and that was the vibe I was getting. Overall it was good, but not great. Steve Buscemi seemed a little miscast in his role.
