You should eat more fish. That will help with your heart attack.
So seriously, is it just a goofball reading or what? Why didn't they say anything? That sounds like complete incompetence. If I had that reading and they didn't tell me and then died of a heart attack I would sue them.

Re: Getting into shape
Anyone here doing Crossfit? It seems to be polarizing among reviews by amateurs and pros alike. There's one fairly close to my house and I was considering giving it a shot. It sounds like it would be right up my alley if my body can hold up.
On a somewhat related note, has anyone tried the Paleo diet? I know that the Crossfit folks seem to like it. I looked into it and it seems alright. I was thinking of trying it out, especially if I end up joining the Crossfit gym. I've been trying to lose some weight and since I really don't have a plan I've been just kind of "eating right" but I feel like I'd be better suited if I had some direction or plan.

Re: Getting into shape
I go to classes similar to CrossFit, but they don't focus on rep speed. There's still plenty of metabolic conditioning, but doing as many deadlifts as you can in 45 seconds is a [expletive] stupid way to lose form and throw out your knee/back/shoulders/etc..
Not every "box" is the same, but I know a lot of guys that love it and a lot of trainers that think it's dangerous.

Bingo. Those are the prevailing arguments. Person A loves it, almost cultishly so, and person B claims it's too dangerous.JackofDiamonds wrote: Not every "box" is the same, but I know a lot of guys that love it and a lot of trainers that think it's dangerous.
