As much as I dislike Colby (and maybe most of his family), that's pretty darn cool to hit off of your brother in the majors.

Angels released RHP Kip Wells.
Wells had a 10.36 ERA and 2.34 WHIP through 24 1/3 innings (six starts) at Triple-A Salt Lake. The 36-year-old righty will look to latch on with a new organization.

Wells must have the world's largest collection of incriminating photographs of baseball executives. Eventually, they all prefer jail to keeping Wells employed.Jocephus wrote:Angels released RHP Kip Wells.

How has Kip Wells been able to extend his career until 2013, I thought he should've been out of baseball years ago. Being a starting pitcher who doesn't get injured makes you a really high commodity in MLB, I guess.

Re: Former Cardinals Watch
Kyle Lohse, who missed his last start with a sore elbow, gave up six runs and four homers in 4 2/3 innings in a loss to the Twins on Thursday.
Lohse probably wasn't ready to pitch tonight. It's the first time he's ever given up four homers in an outing, and it's the first time since Aug. 2001 that he's allowed six earned runs. If his elbow doesn't bounce back over the next couple of days, he still might end up on the DL.
