Re: Cats
I don't even like cats (damn quadrupedal allergens), but that is absurdly cute.Mary1966 wrote:

Re: Cats
Was away from my house for about 8 hours yesterday. We came home and found my cat (a year and a half old) struggling to get around. By the way she was walking, it looked as if she had broken one of her hind legs. A handful of times throughout the night she tried to walk over to me and would literally fall over onto her side. Her pupils were dilated all night. It looked like she was stressed... or scared. Something was off though.
Took her to the vet this morning. Almost immediately he said, "I don't think there's anything physically wrong with her -- I think it's neurological." They've ran a battery of tests (I'm sure I've incurred hundreds of dollars of work already) and so far everything has come back negative. He's thrown around some pretty intense possibilities (cancer, leukemia, etc), but so far there are no real leads. Unfortunately, they've already ruled out common possibilies like ear infections, so I'm bracing myself for some bad news, like a lifelong disease (or worse, something terminal). They are keeping her overnight for now...
Crossing my fingers that it's just something common that goes away, but... I'm not holding my breath. This came out of the blue and really shook me up.
