That stuff always boggles my mind, but what I don't understand is how we know that stuff. Like how do we know where our cluster is located in relation to other clusters, and things like that? Obviously people smarter then myself figured it out but when we look up at the sky with our telescopes or whatever how do we see all that stuff?

That is a neat way of representing things though. It is mind boggling and humbling. One of the cooler things we do at where I work is process data for the Sloan Digital Sky Survey. Used to be every week at the operations meeting on Monday they would put up a cool image just to show off. There is some cool stuff here.

The Hubble telescope and some sciency witchcraft find another blue planet.

"We saw the brightness of the whole system drop in the blue part of the spectrum when the planet passed behind its star," Evans says, in a statement. "From this, we can gather that the planet is blue, because the signal remained constant."

The team suggests the blue color likely comes from a hazy atmosphere filled with melting glass particles, ones that scatter blue light
