Go for it. Scouts are kind of awesome. They are getting a bit trendy right now though so if you want one probably better get it before they start getting over valued.

When you own a Corvette you will meet two kinds of people. The first are people who love it. They will tell you how nice your car is, give you a thumbs up, or maybe share a story about their car, a Corvette they had, or someone they knew that had one. Truly nice and wonderful people.

The second group are people who tell you why they didn't buy a Corvette. This morning it was the guy in the mid 90s Lexus "yeah could have had one of those but it's not my thing, I'm more of a Lexus man." My favorite was the guy at the fast food drive through who said "I'd never get one of those, I prefer Hondas." Yeah you'd never get one of those because you are 45 and work at Wendys, I mean let's be honest here.

/being an elitist prick Corvette owner, which I can't even type without laughing because these cars are so damn cheap, half the cars in my neighborhood cost more. ha.

Why do you say that?
Because it is the vehicular equivalent of Applebee's.

Well, I shouldn't say that exactly. I guess what I mean is that if a man tells me, "I really love my Camry. Just a great, reliable car.", I also expect that guy to recommend going to Applebee's for dinner, where he will most certainly order a Bud Light.
I just bought a 1994 Toyota CAmry for $1. It runs apparently. So, can I have my big white flag please. That is 100 pennies I will never, ever see again.

haha a dollar really? That's awesome. I don't care what it is a dollar car is cool. You will always have that story. Hell if I could buy a car for a dollar, especially a Camry I would just to beat the [expletive] out of it until it's toast.

Only if you got your first car in 2013.
So 1969 doesn't count??
Now, a 69 in a '65 Mustang would definitely count. I assume the 19 was a guy and a lamp post.

Did you get one? I've got a 72 blazer that I love. Unfortunately it won't start hot so I can only drive it when the end destination is home or it won't restart. I've had tons of offers on it but ill never sell it. I hope some day ill have the money to fix it up right.

Yep. Guy I work with knew a guy that had it for a kid and got the kid a new car. Had planned on selling it, but said it was worth more to him than any offers he had got. A year later he's not been driving it and tired of paying insurance/taxes. Guy I work with told him what happened to my truck and he asked if I would take it off his hands.

I've just been riding to work with a friend/co-worker and give him $10/week. I feel like I could do this forever and it's great. But, I probably should get a car though I really liked not having one.

Educate me. Other than stuck in the snow or on the track, is there a time to turn off traction control?

I complete misread your question earlier. Sorry.

I say other than in the rain and snow, always turn it off. It hurts your milege and when you are stuck in the snow it hinders you from getting free.

Well, it's really dependent on the car. If you have your typical front wheel drive 4 door sedan you could probably be safe turning it off in everything but snow and be no worse off.....turn it off on your Vette, Porsche, or any other rear wheel drive car w/ a lot of power & you could be facing the wrong way pretty quick.
