On this week's Game of Thones:

Man, there were a loto f new charcters this week. The Wargs, the Brotherhood, and the kid and his sister, JoJen, right? And the Hound! Glad to see him, until...
[SHOW]
Til he spotted Arya. I guess we'll find out next week what side the Brotherhood is on.

Best line, Robb asking his general, what he thought, and he said "You lost this war, the moment you married her." I don't get why Robb did that... Just dumb. That can't turn out well for them in the war once that crazy old man finds out his daughter won't be a Stark.

Yeah, Jojen and Meera Reed. Bran's story line is a bit of a sticking point for the people that have read the books, so I'm hoping that they do a better job of adapting it for HBO.

The Brotherhood mentioned it already, but they're sideless. They're against everyone who has bothered the everyday citizenry... which means they're against every house. Think of them as slightly more ruthless... Robin Hood and his Merry Highwaymen.

Yes.
Aimless wandering. For chapter after chapter after chapter. Of course by the last book every character that wasn't in King's Landing or at the Wall was aimlessly wandering around somewhere. But even among those Bran was unusually dull--after a while I started skimming his chapters.

EDIT--no spoilers in that post, thank you

This is the TV thread, not the book thread. Be over-cautious with spoilers.

Yeah, no spoilers.
Speaking of the book though, is the TV show going to catch up w/ Martin in writing the books? Dude better get cracking!

They're breaking book 3 (where we are now) into two seasons. Books 4 & 5 are weird because they happen at the same time but follow different timelines, so reading book 5 years after book 4 was written, knowing where some stuff was going at the start of the book... it was odd. The HBO guys said they're going to combine 4 & 5 (each the size of book 3) into 2 seasons, cutting a lot of the chaff and putting things back in order. So that gives us at least 3.5 years before George R.R.R.R. Martin has to release his 6th book.
