Re: The Video Game Thread
Bioshock Infinite is incredible. If you enjoyed Bioshock, you'll love Infinite. I'm still early on, but for me it's going to be tough to top this game the rest of the year.
Between this and Tomb Raider March has been an incredible month of games. I was disappointed by the big Halo 4 and Assassin's Creed 3 releases last fall but these two have made up for those.
They're a great last hurrah for the current gen before we graduate to the next gen this fall.

Really wish Xbox had it's act together with the online marketplace. A few games I might have impulse bought in the past couple months.
Anyone play Dishonored? It's available but wondering if it's worth the full price.

You play the 5 Chaper Walking Dead?ghostrunner wrote:Really wish Xbox had it's act together with the online marketplace. A few games I might have impulse bought in the past couple months.

I bought it over the hollidays through Marketplace, on sale like 2 bucks a piece.
It's more story than action, but I really enjoyed it.

Re: The Video Game Thread
i thought assassins creed 3 was really fun. but it seems like it didn't hit as well as they were hoping for 'cause this one's not getting any sort of additional story, which is weird 'cause AC2 had like 5 (and they are already promoting the pirate one).
bioshock is one of those games that i'd like to play but probably won't 'cause i don't want to own it. same with dishonored. i suppose i should do the redbox option thats near me but i'm just not interested in another company having my credit card number or some other info. blah. tomb raider and dishonored fit in that category for me as well.
as far as dishonored, i don't know a lot about it. i've definitely heard more good things than bad. i think its kinda like hitman (another game id like to play) but more focused on stealth

So it's looking more and more likely the next Xbox will require an online connection for its games. Anonymous sources are fueling the rumor and a Microsoft Studios Creative Director got all defensive about that issue on Twitter.
Been busy so haven't had a chance to try it yet. But...soon.robbotis wrote:How is it?Felix The Cat wrote:So I just bought a Wii U for Monster Hunter. $300 console with a $50 gift card, 3 games for $120 since there was a B2G1 deal at Target. If I return the other two games, I can get $80 back which would leave me paying $290 (pre-tax) for the system and MonHun.
Hope there isn't a big price-cut in the near future to make me regret this purchase.
