I may need my estrogen level checked, because I'm thoroughly enjoying Oprah Winfrey book club selection "Wild" by Cheryl Strayed.

The "finding themselves" on a journey book has been done. A lot. Yet, this one is pretty good and different because of the female perspective, and the issues and dangers she faced.

Next on Oprah's book club....

Finished Team of Rivals (which I highly recommend) and this one is next on my list. I've been on a history kick lately.

They figured out how and why TLR manages the way he does? Excellent. Next topic: World Peace.

Evan S. Connell dies at age 88. Wrote one of my favorite books, "Son of the Morning Star" about Custer and the Little Bighorn.

Some dude spent five years photographing Nevada's legal brothels. Photos kind of NSFW.

Reading this one now. It's pretty great, as you'd expect from a Michael Lewis book

Read it and you'll be astonished that nobody went to jail for this. Fraud and idiocy ran rampant and that's why we are in this mess now.

Currently reading this. Always been a fan of Monk's and I'm really fascinated by the details behind the legend.

Just finished this last night. It's bone chilling to read about how much crap was out there either unsecured or inadequately guarded after the Soviet Union fell apart.

Nuclear warheads, enriched uranium, plutonium, chemical and biological (like anthrax, smallpox, plague) weapons. Iran for one was trying to grab as much of it as they could. Bin Laden tried to get his hands on some nukes.

I'm surprised we're still here.

Not bad so far, I was a big fan of the John Gardner Bond novels, Deaver is pretty good.
