Let's you and me check it out by ourselves. What could go wrong???
Homeland is like 24. You just have to turn off your brain and enjoy the ride.
But, people love Homeland like it's the Sopranos/Mash good all in one.
Funny, season 2 was nominated today for the Golden Globe for Best TV DRAMA.
Are you freaking kidding me???
This show is bad. So, why do I keep watching?

I think until the last few episodes it was really good this season, and definitely an improvement on last season. Nomination was probably based on that. Though it seems odd that it's even eligible before it's finished.
How does anyone accept The Bachelor(ette)? The whole concept seems really perverse. If I was dating 12 women and they were all perfectly aware of both each other and the way I was talking about how I wanted to/was falling in love with each one, I don't think there would be a lot of filmable conversations.
Mods: Move to Rants under some sort of 'being married and sharing a tv' heading.

That show is one of my guilty pleasures, the wife loves is, so I watchj it with her, and have fun with it. There are usually some really hot women in the hot tub a-lot, there is always the way over emotional nut job who is good for several melt-downs per episode, and the drama, fake or real always makes me laugh.

Once I got Roku I watched lots of television.
What are some series that I should check out? For instance, I just recently watched the entirety of Friday Night Lights. I am watching Heroes now.
I am sure I have missed lots of good tv all these years. What is on Amazon or Netflix from the last 5 years that I missed?
Not interested in HBO GO or Showtime stuff I won't be able to find, or costs extra.
If you liked Heroes, check out Battlestar Gallactica.
From Netflixes, I love their selection of BBC shows - Sherlock, MI5, Luther. Luther stars Edris Elba (of Wire fame) as a borderline dirty cop. It's powerful story-telling and gets better as you go. If you like British stuff (some people hate it) I highly recommend Luther.

Check out Lie to me and Better off Ted - Ted is a really funny comedy (Portia De Rossi is great in it) that for some reason didn't take off, and Lie to Me is basically a show where Tim Roth gets to be an [expletive] while figuring out when people are lying.
