My Gf died.... I'm not sure how to follow up that statement or say the things I want to say here. I wasn't even sure I'd ever come back here. Let alone post about it but today I got a text from a fellow GRBer asking where I was and if I was ok. Most days it's been nearly impossible to get off the couch. I'd say to even get out of bed, but the fact is I haven't been in my bedroom since it happened. I can't go in there.

You find out who your friends are when someone close to you dies. Almost all the people I expected or at least thought would be there have been and some I didn't expect. It certainly has made me realize I have some great people in my life. All but one and that one hurts the most. I can't tell you how many cry in my beer nights I've had with this guy after he's been dumped, crapped on, his family member died and I've always been there. The one time I needed him and he's no where to be found.

Until today. Some good friends of mine got me out of the house today. They are so wonderful, we just went and had dinner, went to some Christmas thing, and chilled out at there new home. They've been so great to me in the last week or so. Well my former friend and his new fiancee showed up. It was all about him and her, then he acts like he's been the best friend I've ever had and he was so there for me. Yeah it was real nice of him to come to the visitation for five minutes. What a swell guy.

I feel like I've been kicked while I was down.

I don't have much to say, as I'm sure words seem pretty empty, but very sorry to hear that man.

I'm really sorry to hear that, Dreamer. I can't even imagine what you must be going through, but make sure you don't withdraw too much from everyone who loves you, especially during this time of year. Sounds like your friends are keeping that in mind too.
