Schlafly's Oatmeal Stout, Porter, Imperial Stout... they're my go-to products. The Raspberry Coffee Stout is great, too, and has the dual benefit of nostalgia since I drank it to celebrate after game 7.
I'm in a rut where I just don't feel like drinking beer. I get a beer, drink about half of it, and go meh.....and struggle to finish it. Then the thought ofa second beer is repulsive.

And this is with every type of beer I can think of. And only the last few months. No idea why I just suddenly don't want to drink.

I'd recommend hard alcohol.

I will drink porters, stouts, dunkels, schwartzbiers, browns, and their various experiments year round. They are my favorite styles. There is no shame in this.

I also stock up on Schlafly Pumpkin Ale and drink them sporadicly year-round. Also no shame. Pumpkin flavor is not exclusive to autumn.

This thread has become painful for me to read lately because I'm not supposed to drink with this stupid [expletive] anti-seizure medicine they put me on. I read the label and warnings and did some research and can't find where it says alcohol is prohibited. So I call the neurologist - said it's his restriction so don't pay any attention to the label. [expletive].

I have to be on this crap for 2 years. It's been 3 months - there's no way I'm going to make it (at least without some medical mary jane or something).

That's [expletive] horrible. I somehow now have an even deeper concern for your health.

Sometimes I don't understand those warnings, although I would be careful with that medicine rad. For example, they say with Vicodin to avoid alcohol and I have to disagree with that. Alcohol is the perfect compliment to Vicodin.

Again, not saying I know anything about seizure medicine though.

Tecate is on the lighter side, kind of an all around beer. But now that you mention it, I'm drinking way more Sam Adams Boston Lager now than I did in the hotter weather. SA is a solid solid beer. My fridge right now has Bud, Tecate, Corona, and Sam Adams and I'm not a bit ashamed of that combo.

I agree. Even had a great pumpkin coffee once but I've learned that "pumpkin spice" is a no-go.

Vicodin is very hard on the liver. Be careful.

My second batch of home brew is cooking right now. I sampled a little when transferring it to the secondary brewer, and it was really strong.
