Re: Former Cardinals Watch
So Taguchi retired. He'd gone back to play for Orix in 2010-11.

Are there any other Japanese players with two WS rings? I miss that guy.

Pujols's next HR will be #475, to tie Musial.

Hideki Irabu, off the top of my head, for the Yankees.Vidor wrote:So Taguchi retired. He'd gone back to play for Orix in 2010-11.

You're right, although I dunno if he was on the active roster for either.

Pujols basically gave up the chance to be the best player in the Cardinals history to be the #2 player in Cardinals history and possibly top 10 of the Angels.

Re: Former Cardinals Watch
I wonder what the record is for lowest OBP for a player with more than 20 home runs. Dave Kingman had four seasons where he hit more than 25 home runs with a sub-.300 OBP.
Colby's overall stat line as a Blue Jay: .217/.275/.396. 24 homers over what as of this morning is exactly 162 games.
