This action was especially odd since I didn't really "spoil" anything. Odder still since the title to this thread says explicitly that it contains "spoilers".bob thrill wrote:The fact that I added them, I would have thought, is a pretty clear indication that we don't care if you want to use them or not. Don't talk about the books in the TV thread without using spoilers. Especially don't talk about specific characters and where their stories may be heading. It's really easy to use the spoiler tags and if you're unsure how spoilery something is, play it safe and spoiler it anyway.

Now my day is spoiled due to the spoiled bickering by spoiled posters.Vidor wrote:This action was especially odd since I didn't really "spoil" anything. Anyway, getting to other TV shows and writing posts that I hope aren't altered--I don't know how one was supposed to take "Mad Men" but I found Sunday's show depressing. And mildly irritating; it kind of bugs me when Mad Men hits the "men are pigs" button too hard and they were pounding it on Sunday.

Vidor, it's called just being nice. It doesn't take work, it doesn't detract from your post. No content is removed. Just be cool about not ruining things for people. That's all. Geez.Vidor wrote:This action was especially odd since I didn't really "spoil" anything. Odder still since the title to this thread says explicitly that it contains "spoilers".

No one else wants to talk about that episode? Man. I do think the out-of-time-sequence of Don and Joan's talk about "the offer" was brilliant and made the whole thing even more gut-punching when you see the look on Don's eyes when she walks into the partner's meeting.bob thrill wrote:Mad Men blew my mind in an entirely different way this morning too. I don't know how good the episode was, but it was unquestionably important. Wow.
Also, I'm really hoping that we're not gonna miss Peggie's bus.

I do! Real bummer. Don should have been nicer to Peggy. The reviews I've been reading are favorable but I thought the episode was laying it on a little thick--it would be nice if Don weren't the only person at SCDP who wasn't a complete douchebag.heyzeus wrote:No one else wants to talk about that episode?bob thrill wrote:Mad Men blew my mind in an entirely different way this morning too. And Peggy will be back one day. Maybe Don will hire her back in Season 6.

I'm probably dense, but what was the reason for showing it twice in close succession?heyzeus wrote:I do think the out-of-time-sequence of Don and Joan's talk about "the offer" was brilliant and made the whole thing even more gut-punching when you see the look on Don's eyes when she walks into the partner's meeting.

You view it differently the 2nd time on knowing she went through with it.Arthur Dent wrote:I'm probably dense, but what was the reason for showing it twice in close succession?heyzeus wrote:I do think the out-of-time-sequence of Don and Joan's talk about "the offer" was brilliant and made the whole thing even more gut-punching when you see the look on Don's eyes when she walks into the partner's meeting.
