Maclowery wrote:robbotis, I would never spoil a thing. I love hearing new fans gossip about what they think is going to happen. As if TV show fans needed more encouragement to watch, I was just stressing that episode 9 is going to be super, super awesome.
I know you wouldn't, and I appreciate it.
You've built it up, it better not disappoint!
Knowing what's happened so far, I'm sure it won't.

I thought it was pretty cool that they did this. Kristin Wiig's final sketch on SNL.

Catching up on my Sunday TV viewing. Jon Hamm and Christina Hendricks are awfully attractive together.

My brain can't handle Veep right after that Game of Thrones episode. Holy [expletive] hell. George RR knows what the hell he's doing.

Yep, GRRM nailed it. Felt more like a big-budget summer movie than a TV show. Then again, it was the most expensive episode of the most expensive HBO series ever. General reaction on the ASOIAF forum from non-book readers seems to be enormously positive as well - poor guys waited all season through several dull episodes, and then get floored by Blackwater. I love it.

Oh, and to add, hearing the Rains of Castamere play during the credits was the biggest high-five GRRM could give to his readers. Holy crap I was flipping out.

That was one of the best episodes of GoT yet. It was apparently directed by Neil Marshall, the same guy who directed Dog Soldiers and The Descent.

Mad Men blew my mind in an entirely different way this morning too. I don't know how good the episode was, but it was unquestionably important. Wow.
