Re: The Video Game Thread
Battlefield 3 is [expletive] awesome with this new card. I'm as bad as I have been at every BF game, but I don't care. I shot a copter out of the sky with my tank tonight. That was worth half the cost of the game alone, in my opinion. I'm amazed at how high level some people already are. I guess it's been out, what, a month, but jeez.

Skyrim is great so far. Dragon fights - amazing. Love the giants too. I take back saying this is just like Oblivion - there's plenty of new stuff and it's a better game. Still don't like the level up screen.
Also, if you get assigned a follower and they're killed, they can't really die. So this happens:
When it happened to me, I rode a horse back to town and he followed me that way all the way to the gates.

I started playing Halo Anniversary tonight. Not surprisingly it feels really dated.

Wasn't sure whether to post this in the music thread or here, but I figured with the recent posts this would be appropriate.
This song is...amazing.

The flood are incredibly lame. That's what makes Reach may favorite campaign - no flood.

I'm gonna play Reach eventually. My gaming mojo disappears for weeks.

I felt like Halo: CE held up pretty well. I loved playing through the game again with updated graphics, though I still love the first half much more than the second half. I, too, despise the flood and hold Reach and ODST in higher regard than the other games as a result. It is telling that the last two releases have been floodless, so I hope we can look forward to no flood/flood like enemies in Halo 4.
Playing through Zelda: Skyward Sword right now and it's Zelda, so I'm hooked. I still don't really enjoy the motion controls. It's not a big deal, but there are annoying parts where you have to navigate by moving the wiimote or do certain things with it that would just be much easier with a regular controller. I get mad, settle down, get through it, and move on. If it wasn't Zelda I would have quit, but that's the way it is with all Wii games for me, which is why Zelda is the first Wii game I've played in something like 2 or 3 years.
