Did you check out their growlers? Really pricey but very nice and have a stopper top like Grolsch so will keep much longer.TimeForGuinness wrote:Checked out Urban Chestnut last night...they have really good beer.

I like using the "Only good for 24-48 hrs" warning as an excuse to drink the whole growler in 1 nightlukethedrifter wrote:Did you check out their growlers? You are the man. These are amazing. I bought an Ommegang sampler and, while I do like the other delicious brews included, Three Philosophers is awesome. And strong, I might add. A couple of those and you'll be posting in the drunk thread in no time.Swirls wrote:I think I just found my new favorite beer. At 9.8%, it's got quite the punch. Ommegang Three Philosophers - I've only seen it in the giant 22 oz bottles.
I'm seriously considering buying a few bottles and packing them on the plane with me when I fly home this weekend for the Thanksgiving holiday.

Yep, I bought two bottles ($19.52) and wrapped them up in about 5 layers of giant bubble wrap and put hem in my suitcase. My flight gets in to SGF around 17:45, so I'll have plenty of time to finish off a bottle tonight.

Re: The Beer Thread
I cannot deny that I purchased this from the Mexican market nearest my house simply because it was the highest ABV they had (almost everything else was standard domestic lagers or common imports, and Brooklyn brewery stuff, which is good, but I drink enough of).
Anyway, it's pretty yummy. Similar to Delirium Tremens, to my non-Belgian beer tastes. 5 in and I'm feeling alright. 10% will do that, I guess.

Re: The Beer Thread
Has anyone tried
Kraftig beer put out under a Busch heir's name ?
Lofty goals of millions of barrels of lager -which would pit them in competition against the big beer mfg (InBev, Coors, Miller) rather than the craft beer players
