I was being nice. I can't completely discount it though...Denver is playing better than they did before he became QB for a myriad of reasons, but not turning the ball over is a big one.

I think it's funny people think the team is winning because of Tebow, rather than in spite of him. Denver's defense was awesome, and the offense played ball control. Give Tebow credit for not turning the ball over, but he wasn't very good as a QB no matter how you slice it, and that fact is no more evident than the fact his coaching staff obviously doesn't trust him enough to throw the ball.

Does he get credit for Miami not handling an onsides kick? How about Von Miller wreacking havoc on the Chiefs O-line? Without those two things, Denver loses both games and he's all of a sudden not a "winner."

That statement just doesn't reflect the things that occur on the field unless he's Bugs freaking Bunny.

One of the downfield passes was a poor one. The other one hit Decker in the chest. I'm not sure where else you'd want it. By NFL standards, completing 1 of 3 long passes like that isn't "poor", in my opinion.

I don't think anybody said that the team is winning "because of Tebow". They are winning because he's been more effective than Orton was. The fact that Orton is on the bench and Tebow is playing is evidence that the coaching staff trusts Tebow to win games more than they do Orton.

Yeah, results would be different "if" some things had gone differently. That's true for any NFL team, not just Tebow's.

He's more fun to watch, and more effective than Orton. That doesn't make him a Hall of Famer, and nobody said that he is.

Saying things like, "nobody said..." doesn't mean I ever said those things either.

I disagree, I watched the passes to Decker, and the one you're referring to he was two full yards behind the defender, and he had to almost stop to come back for the ball, and had a guy draped all over him when he had a chance to catch it. If it's thrown out in front, it's an easy completion.

Tough pass for you or I, but by NFL standards, that throw has to be made.

There were 3 downfield passes to Decker (and we're talking way downfield). One of them was perfect. One of them was bad. And one of them wasn't perfect (I will grant you that), but was certainly catchable (not for me or you, but by NFL standards that catch has to be made). For a guy that's only started half a dozen NFL games, and hasn't been given much opportunity to throw the ball downfield, that's not bad. Not great, and probably not even above average by NFL standards........ but not bad.

The forward pass is so 2010.

Let me just clarify.

Tebow's accuracy is an issue. It's by far his biggest issue. It's also a catch-22. He's not going to get better if he doesn't get an opportunity, and he's not going to get an opportunity until he improves.

He's saying that it's not that hard to not turn the ball over when you're handing it off to a RB 35 times a game.

Tebow has 7 touchdown passes and 1 interception, and he's only started 4 games. He's not throwing the ball much, but he's taking good care of it. That's fairly important for an inexperienced quarterback.
