After beating the Phillies in the Division Series, the Cardinals took out the Brewers in six games, celebrating a trip to the World Series as Morgan watched from the dugout.

"It's as sweet as it gets," said reliever Mitchell Boggs.

"I'd be lying to you if I said that we weren't thinking about that. It's perfect for us, because we played all the way until game 162 and we didn't say anything. We did our business and that's the way the Cardinals have done it for years, and that's why this organization has had the success it's had. And that's why we're still playing.
