I'm going to fill up a couple of growlers from Schlafly, cook up some wings and have a few friends over

When are you coming for that football game? Or has that come and gone?

Shipyard makes a pumpkin worth drinking.

I am hoping that we will be watching a WS parade when we are down for the game (Oct 30).

That pumpkin [expletive] is terrible. I mean what the [expletive]?

You are referring to all pumpkin beer, I assume. Basically, I agree with you. It's like pumpkin flavored coffee. Still, I did Shipyard's brewery tour and the stuff they gave me on draft was fairly subtle and very good ... for about 5 or 6 sips.
My gal brought home a sixer of Schlafly's pumpkin and I drank wine instead. She had to drink the stuff so I clearly agree with your premise.

pumpkin beer goes along with cherry beer. It's a fail. However, it's a WTF test for a brewer to make one that is palatable. New Glarus makes a cherry beer that can be stomached, so kudos to them. I drank my first Schalfly's pumpkin ale the other night - it was predictably bad.
