GOW3...GET IT!
I'd really prefer an RPG over a FPS/3PS
It's a RPG. I walk around with a flame thrower and Michael gets set on fire. What more could you want?
Seriously.
Mass Effect is a 3PS for wusses. Theo, you know it's true.

you might like dark souls.
I heard that game is really hard and punishing. Judging from Theo's choices he prefers RPG's that feature dating and endless dialog trees.

it is. i dont have it but have been watching people play it on twitch.tv. you gotta have a lot of patience for it...which i dont have. it is a beautiful game though and looks like a lot of fun...minus the extreme difficulty and some visual issues i've seen come up.

Yeah, it's a "gamers game". It's one of those games I respect, but have no desire to actually play.

Your rpg wife can make you attend a couples shower in those games.

You're absolutely correct. I like to play starcraft 2 competitively and consider games like that my "gamer cred" games where I show i can still handle playing.
I use xbox RPGs to set on easy mode and watch as my 3 people murderize thousands of randomly generated baddies.
Part of it is i've just played so many shoot-em-ups in my life that i'm pretty tired of them. I've likely spent more time playing Goldeneye, Halo, GOW, Modern Warfare, etc. than I have all other types of games combined. And that's including 5 years of sc2 and a 2 year World of Warcraft addiction. I took a shooter breather after MW:2 and I haven't gotten it back yet.
Theo, I was just messing with you. I can relate to what you're saying, but my experience is the opposite. I used to love strategy games and JRPGs, but I got completely burnt out on them. When I started playing Gears of War 1 I had no interest in the gameplay, I only wanted to see a pretty HD game on my new flatscreen. GoW1 ended up completely changing my interest in gaming. Now I hate all things RPG.
I'm hosed with video games anymore. I prefer RPGs or open world games, but I don't have the time to kill exploring or playing around. The kids wear me out and the only time I can play is after 11pm. I've been known to fall asleep and wake up at 3AM staring at an inventory menu or watching Niko Bellic or John Marston trying to walk through a wall.
