It is protect yourself at all times but what in the hell was the ref looking at. ....Mayweather is a fabulous fighter but what he did in the ring was dirtier than the head butt ortiz did to him and him blowing up on merchant was absolutely classless. There was only 2 seconds left in the round. It was never made clear that time was back in. The ref was off in space or looking at the time keeper and let the fighters do their own thing, which is the exact opposite of what he should be doing following a point deduction for a headbutt. Complete cheap shot by Mayweather.
