- I think the cartel wanted to go back to being the supplier for Gus's operation, and they wanted some serious reparations for Gus going off on his own and having some of their key guys killed. Walter's death was probably part of that, but I think in spite of the fact that Walter is written as the god of chemistry the writers don't really think he's THAT important.

Yeah, the guy in the Member's Only jacket gets him?
I've read plenty of other stories that say the opposite.
The last scene is just the epitome of Tony's life. You always have to watch your back. I know there's more there and people have explained Chase masterfully crafted everything there to show Tony was whacked. I've only watched the finale twice, and prefer the simplistic option.
I'm sure if I watch it over and over, I'd go the other way. That's the beauty of it.
In fact, I want to watch it again right now.
This is quite the summary.

A terse statement about a show you haven't seen since Season 2 doesn't cut it as acting criticism. Sorry. She's been dealt a couple of [expletive] hands in terms of romantic storylines, but she's completely believable and engaging as a character. Especially contrasted with a lot of the stock/cartoony characters on the show, she comes off much more raw and real. It's not like we're talking about January Jones here. I can't think of any other character outside Astor who gives the show any kind of heart. I guess that was part of Rita's function, but I thought she was dull and one-note. Just my guess, but I think the character's personality negatively affects the way people view the actress.cpebbles wrote:She's a lousy actor and she's the textbook example of my complaint about the Scooby Doo-quality writing on the show.ghostrunner wrote:I'll be my usual broken record on this subject and say she's the best actor on the show.

I finally started watching Louie. I'm only two episodes into the first season but so far I think it's brilliant.
And how great was the car periscope episode of Curb?

The "Bully" episode (maybe episode 10) is especially good.G. Keenan wrote:I finally started watching Louie. I'm only two episodes into the first season but so far I think it's brilliant.
