I just looked back at my first post where I considered Rawls a good character and Clay Davis a bad one. That had to be before Davis uttered "Sheeeeeeeeeeeeeit" the first time.

Speaking of which, they never did address Rawls appearing for like 2 seconds in a gay bar. That was one of best throwaways I've ever seen.

So, I'm watching The Wire...again. I think this makes my fourth time through.

I am too, but only for the second time - hadn't watched them since their original air dates. I enjoyed them back then but only now am I realizing how truly [expletive] amazing the show was. At the time I was more into The Sopranos and Six Feet Under, but now I realize The Wire was probably the best of the bunch.

Who knew Idris Elba aka Stringer Bell is British when watching The Wire? He didn't tell the Wire folks he was
British when he interviewed for the part. Took him a long time to learn the part. Mcnulty's Brit accent was audible at times to me, but never Stringer's.....that i recall. perhaps i would feel differently relistening now.

Season 2 of Luther starts tonight on BBC America. i have not started Luther season 1 yet.

Can't really remember when I found out that he and McNulty were Brits.
Carcetti is Irish or English as well.

Dominic West sounds like he's doing a fake British accent whenever he speaks in real life.

There's this actress on Sons of Anarchy who plays an Irish lady, but I've seen in other things for years. Two thirds of the season I thought to myself how weak her accent was. Turns out she's from Belfast.

The lead in that show is also a Brit, which I never would have guessed before I found out. There was a period from like 2007-2009 where all these British actors started playing Americans on our TV shows. I could probably crank out a list of a dozen or so if I thought about it for a few minutes.
