The craziest part of that story is that there was a driver in the truck that was heard screaming for help from the street who was eventually rescued with a 9 story tall cherry-picker.

Ha, I've actually seen that. It's a bit misleading to say that Busey stars in the film because he voices the Gingerdead Man for all of 20 minutes and then disappears for the rest.
