America sucks at soccer. Do the Japanese take their shirts off?

Ah well, time to watch something real exciting like Sanford and Son reruns...

Brutal. Really brutal. Damn, if the US women's team was sick of the '99 comparisons already, they've just given themselves 4 more years of it in the worst way. Good on Japan, they kept in it and made it all fall apart for the US.

Horrible way to settle a soccer match, but damn that's exciting.
Who the hell is the gigantic bald guy on the US bench, and why is he wearing shorts? This is probably his fault.

I've been pulling for Japan since that great Germany upset. Disappointed the US lost, but what a great game and good for Japan. Also, Japan's coach looks like a cool dude. Kind of want to hang out with him.

That was incredible. I need to give the women's game a closer look.

The U.S. had a ton of close kicks in the first half. I don't know anything about soccer, but man they were playing good. One or two of those is a few inches the other way, and it wouldn't have been exciting at the end.
