US Open Golf
I'm surprised how well Rory McIlroy is playing after his meltdown at the Masters. He has a lot of talent and toughness to bounce back from that.

Is Rory related to Roy McAvoy?

Bah, screw tiger. Rory has a cooler accent and less creepy-large teeth.
Go Rory.
Go Rory.

I don't understand the USGA's love for Congressional. Seems like a generic country club course to me. Nothing special about it. Thought that way back when Ernie Els won there in the 90's. I hope these scores make them reconsider keeping it in the Open course rotation.

Yang is playing ridiculously good today... and he can't gain any ground because McIlroy has been right there every step of the way.

Me too. He needs to use McIlroy's ascent as fuel to come back as a steroid-fueled monster and turn full heel. Have a porn star caddy for him, swear openly and loudly, kick a camera man or two and go head-to-head with Rory in majors.InvincibleCakeEater wrote:I miss Tiger.

Jason Day is pretty awesome too.
I fully support Tiger coming back as a heel. Simmons wrote about it a few years ago.
edit: Actually, after much googling, it was a 2009 mailbag, and it was more of a fan writing in that Simmons just agreed with:

Q: Amidst all the talk of image consultants and PR rehab for Tiger, haven't we missed the obvious solution: that he should go all the way in the other direction and become a WWE-type heel? Picture it: Tiger dumps Elin and the kids, moves into a penthouse suite at the Wynn or the Palms, grows a short-cropped Hollywood Hogan-style beard, sleeps his way through starlets and party girls and heads back to the Tour in annihilation mode. Women would start showing up at events to boo him, men would (secretly) cheer him, as he leaves nothing but destruction and mayhem in his wake. And if you're Tiger, what sounds more fun -- a decade of apologies, microscopically short leashes, the embarrassment of getting axed by sponsors, and no hope for business time with Elin, or just living the dream?

SG: I can only tell you this: That would have been one of the five funniest "South Park" episodes ever.
