I'm getting the impression that it might spill over to a second season.

Although, I thought i read somewhere that it's only a one season show.

As far as last night episode goes, i think it was the worst episode yet. But, if you remember from the beginning, Linden said the bank warrant could take up to 24 hours. There really wasn't much they could do until they got the warrant since that is their only lead. Perhaps i am reading too much into it, but that's what i got from it. Plus i think they needed to give us a more detailed description of Linden and Holder's past--while there was "down time" in the show.

Again, prolly just reading too much into it.

I'm all for character development, but not when you've got three episodes left in the season and have oh so many loose ends to tie up.

Waste of my time. Linden is too private, has demons and her choices are affecting her kid. Holder has a troubled past but is a genuinely nice guy. We got it. Thanks. Move it along, please.
Plus, we knew the whole time it would turn out Jack was with his dad. Linden isn't a very good detective if she didn't consider that a possibility. From a storytelling point of view we know that the kid's not going to turn up dead. The show isn't that dark. Waste of an episode.

I wish Rubicon was still around.

Agreed. A waste. Pretty sure it's going to wrap up in the next 2 episodes. Pretty sure I know who the killer is. Also, season 2, if there is one(it hasn't been renewed yet), would be an entirely different "killing".

In the Euro version....and this is super-spoilery I guess depending on how much the US version ends up varying from the Danish.......
[SHOW]
...at the end of Season 1 the Linden character (I think Lund is her name in that one) gets demoted. Then there's a new crime in season 2, with this big-time lawyer getting killed, and the homicide peeps keep drawing blanks, so they ask Lund to take a look at the case, she gets hooked back in to homicide work.
I must be crazy. I felt like the last episode actually started getting somewhere. Nice tension w/ Belko in the box, and his wacko momma. Several weeks of the same thing was wearing on me:

Begin episode: the person you we led you to believe did it last episode didn't do it.
Mid episode: here's someone who probably did it.
End episode: Yeah, for sure this person totally did it.
Begin next episode: That person from last week? Nah. No way they did it.
repeat.

Too darn plot driven and not enough character development early. I don't think there's a character in this show I really care about. I'm basically watching b/c I feel like I've invested too much time not to. To me it's Twin Peaks without the interesting characters, good writing, and quirk.

I think you might be an episode behind. That episode- the one you're referring to- was probably my favorite of the season so far. Then the episode from a few days ago was a total dud.

Ah, yeah, I guess I am one behind. Something to watch OnDemand tonight. Though I'm not too geared up for it, given the bad reviews here.

My advice is to watch the first 5 minutes, fast forward through the next 50 minutes of Linden and Holder sitting in a car, and watch the last 5 minutes.

Yes it is. And it's back. Though the first ep this season was kinda meh.
