What the hell? I saw they were down huge with 6:50 left and was like "series over."

The Heat literally stopped playing, just running the shot clock down the whole way and then jacking up a bad shot on every possession, and the Mavs couldn't miss.

Well, I'm not sure I agree. The Heat only built that lead because the Mavs turned the ball over and gave fast break after fast break. Once they stopped giving up the breaks, the Heat had a hard time getting good offense and scoring. It's not like they went into stall mode.

The Heat can look pretty average offensively when not on the break.

I do agree that the Mavs got hot, but they honestly were kinda due for that.

The Heat still would have likely won when they were up 2 and Haslem got mugged on that wide open layup. No call plus a fastbreak bucket for the Mavs to tie it. I'm kind of glad though because a 2-0 lead would have made for a crappy series.

That's how the Heat beat everybody is with uptempo play. But you can't get easy buckets when you are taking the ball out of the net every time and compounding it by walking it up each possession. They were playing the basketball equivalent of the prevent defense and started it way too early.

Also, going into last night, LeBron's confidence was sky high. He gets too comfortable when he has too much success. He had been hitting ridiculous out-of-his-good-range jumpers all series against the Bulls and he saw in Game 1 that as long as he shows up for the 4th, they can beat Dallas. Obviously that's not true and after Wade hit that 3, LeBron did his Cleveland schtick of spending more time dancing and giving dap than digging in his heels. He probably won't make that mistake again. Heat in 6.

Instead of reading this entire thread - who do you want to win? I am curious how many want Dallas to win to spite the Heat.

I would root for anyone to beat Miami. There's really no good reason for a random fan to root for the heat.
