They'll go with the interim coach for a year or two (and give that guy something when it's all said and done as a thank you), then go after Urban Meyer in 2012 or 2013.

I hate the NCAA. It's just stupid that the players can't get compensated because some sheltered fruitcakes, eating their foie gras and sipping their Bordeaux, have outdated ideals regarding "amateur sports."[Former defensive end Robert] Rose has no regrets. "I knew how much money that the school was making," he says. "I always heard about how Ohio State had the biggest Nike budget. I was struggling, my mom was struggling. ... It was just something that I had to do. I was in a hard spot. ... [Other] guys were doing it for the same reasons. The university doesn't really help. Technically we knew it was wrong, but a lot of those guys are from the inner city and we didn't have much, and we had to go on the best we could. I couldn't call home to ask my mom to help me out."

Paying players is a good way to get a playoff in college football, because the dozen or so teams that would still have teams(or athletic programs at all for that matter) would probably be willing to cross that line after a round robin regular season.

I saw Urban Meyer on ESPN talking about institutional control. That made me laugh. Big-time "college" sports is a joke.
