I ain't watching. I'm done with basketball. I'll read about it in the papers.thrill wrote:I'm gonna need at least a week before my Bulls fanaticism cools down to appreciate it, but we have a delicious, legacy defining NBA Finals on our hands.

I made that same comment - both the fact that the players we had out there were so-so and that it was the best option.JunkBondTrader wrote:And that was your 60 million dollar man sitting on the bench down the stretch of an elimination game in favor of Kurt [expletive] Thomas. And deservedly so. I'll take the corpse of Ben Wallace over this clown.

I'm saying the Heat were underrated.Faceman wrote:Yeah, you guys are right. They are not the one man show they appear to be.
Losing 4-1 at home, as the number one seed. If the bulls are not overrated, then you are saying the heat played above their heads or the bulls cropped the bed.
Great [expletive] season. I believe in GarPax, Thibs & ownership. They'll do what they can. I don't have to look forward to Kirk Hinrich, Eddie Robinson, Ron Artest, Jalen Rose, Marcus Fizer, Eddy Curry, Ben Gordon, Ben Wallace, etc. We have D Rose. It's pretty good to be a Bulls fan.

And I'm saying both teams were properly rated. The Heat were favored with a clear talent advantage, and they won.

There probably isn't a lot of precedent for how widely the Heat will be rooted against. Perhaps some of the Yankees teams circa 10 years ago (of which LeBron was a fan, BTW), but this might be the least popular team in a finals that I am aware of. Maybe Russia in 1980 hockey.

They are most certainly not the least popular. Most hated maybe, but people tune in to teams they hate also.MrSaigon wrote:There probably isn't a lot of precedent for how widely the Heat will be rooted against. 'Popular' isn't the right word, and I have no doubts that they'll be watched, but most everyone wants them to die and burn in hell, and very few people, I imagine, are watching without rooting interest in who wins.TGantz wrote:They are most certainly not the least popular. My Facebook news feed is blowing up with "Witness" statuses. Most are casual fans who haven't watched a game all season until the playoffs, but still...
