Killing stuff.
[SHOW]
Stan's weird little buddy fighting the boulder while Stan was beating Benet to a pulp was hilarious. I also think, he's the one who did it. Always around the family, sketchy violent past etc.

That character was the killer in the Danish version, and the American producers say it'll be somebody different for this one. Although, from everything I've read online, the show has so far been just about a shot-for-shot remake of Forbrydelsen.

Bennet isn't the killer. He and Muhammad were helping a young girl escape from her family for her health and safety. And Mitch Larsen gives me yet another reason to hate her. Only problem now is they've basically got three or four episodes to reveal a killer, unless they're going to hold that for a second season, which I hope they don't.
Yea Mitch has gotten on my last nerve. Plus every time i see her, i can't help but picture her as a minotaur (true blood reference).

Game of Thrones stuff
[SHOW]
I was super psyched when I saw the episode title last night because I've been waiting for this. Viserys having his brain boiled from a molten gold hat was the point in the books where I realized I was all in/going to spend all of my time reading until I finished all of the completed books.

Every episode left in the season is going to have a very major scene or two. No time for fluff.

I simply have no idea how they're going to be able to successfully capture the framework of the novels in the second and (assuming) third seasons. The first book is comparatively simple, only in that there are like double the number of developed characters.

The actor who played Viserys has done just a terrific job. Ned, Robert, and Viserys' actors have all been truly superb (no slight against the rest of the terrific cast)

Another crazy awesome scene. Each episode so far has had a few amazing ones. Robert is my favorite charcter, as he has the best lines.

Damn you Ned for being so naively noble. There's not a chance in the world that this all ends well for the Stark patriarch.
Also, how much of a badass is Rhaego going to be? Son of a dragon and the most powerful Khal?

Rhaego will defintely be a badass, w/o having read the books are reading spoilers, I vernture to say he plays a big part down the road.
Ned has lost it, but you would too if someone pushed your son off a 100 foot tower.

Littlefinger has been perfect, too. Best of all, though, has been Tyrion. He's my favorite character from the books and Dinklage couldn't have been more perfect in the role.

I really don't have a big problem with any of the casting, though I pictured the Hound as a more menacing character and not the Russian cosmonaut on the space station in Armageddon. I waver a little on Cersei's portrayal and we haven't seen a ton out of Jaime so it's hard to decide on him, though his meaty stuff comes later.

I took the hitting the boulder stuff as an excuse for him to get bloody knuckles so he can take the fall for Stan.
