i saw that on SNL and thought it was awful. i dont have nearly the patience as most do for the lonely island videos, i've never found them funny, but this might have been the worst.

I enjoyed it as well.

I really liked it, even better than a lot of the Lonely Islands' work. It opens like it's gonna be another of their typical hip-hop random "I'm in-da-club" kind of stuff, when all of a sudden it's Michael "no-talent @ss-clown" Bolton breaking in with an epic ballad about Jack Sparrow, complete with white sandy beach and rippling in the wind too-large for him white shirt. How is that NOT funny?

Besides, if you can't find Michael Bolton belting out "This whole town's a [expletive] waiting too get [expletive]" with his golden pipes funny, than you just don't like fun.

That kind of stuff is awesome. Plus the melody and rhythm is equally awesome. This is one of their best works, IMO. Except for "I'm on a boat" which was also very very good, most of Lonely Island relies on toilet humor to be funny. Their approaches to being clever are much better in my book.
