Sports games are exponentially more complicated than they were in the Super Nintendo days - which is why I still love Madden 94, and am totally inept at any PS3 football game. RPGs are much, much more in-depth. Compare Oblivion to Breath of Fire, etc. Strategy games are nuts nowadays, I can barely even keep track of Civ 5's crazy complex micromanaging, versus my old Civ 2 floppy disk back in the day.
None of those genres were as niche as the fighting game was during the PS2/Xbox/GC era. The FPS genre has been the most popular (and probably oversaturated) genre in the past decade+ so it's not surprising to see lots of improvements in FPS when every other company out there is making a FPS, trying to one-up the next guy. No company worth their salt would invest the resources to do the same for a declining genre like fighting games last gen. We may see some evolution going forward now that SF4/MvC3/MK appear to have gotten the mainstream audience caring about the genre again.

PS Goldeneye is a lot less linear than your typical CoD single player

I'd like to give it a go but not at retail. Maybe in a few months.

Yes, yes he is. He's even worse at the end of story mode.

Here's the only way I can ever beat him:
[SHOW]
If you're at the end of story mode, wait for him to start an attack, teleport behind him and do the flying torpedo attack. Just do that over and over and over. Only thing that ever worked for me.

If you're at the end of a regular arcade ladder, always keep your distance and spam projectile attacks over and over again. If you lose a couple of times to him, it seems like the AI takes it easy on you and has him just taunt you over and over and eventually you'll beat him It sucks that you have to be so cheap to beat him, but that's pretty much the only way to do it, IMO.

Sony Corp. said Monday that hackers may have taken personal information from an additional 24.6 million user accounts after a review of the recent PlayStation Network breach found an intrusion at a division that makes multiplayer online games.

The data breach comes on top of the 77 million PlayStation accounts it has already said were jeopardized by a malicious intrusion.

They are sorry about it though.

Anyone play Majin and the Forsaken Kingdom for PS3? For a 3rd person puzzle/adventure game, it's pretty enjoyable.
