Ya, I am sorry about that weird mini-rant. Sober Maclowery still doesn't like 2D fighters, but he also doesn't mind that other people like them.
I was probably just mad that I never, ever was good at 'em.

Heh, I feel ya. I get righteously angry about FPS', especially playing them online.Maclowery wrote:I was probably just mad that I never, ever was good at 'em.
I never play them online because I'm comically bad compared to most everyone else.

Mortal Kombat apparently not only has a storyline, it has canon. And here I thought it was just an ugly, juvenile Street Fighter 2 knockoff.

Re: The Video Game Thread
From the bit I've played it pretty much was. A handful of custom moves, the XRay stuff and finishers. I'm sure there's a lot more to it for the hardcores, but it felt pretty much like old school MK to me. My friend was having trouble with someone and said that he had been trying like 20 times to beat, and I beat him in the first 2 rounds. Probably just luck, but I was just using classic MK styles.Cronos69 wrote:If it were that easy, it would be a lot more enjoyable.
Trust me: it's not.
