That was a damn assassination last night. Last 8 minutes and Thibs calls a clear out for Derrick. Every possession. He. Took. Over. This is a man's league and right now, D Rose is the baddest man there is.

The Bulls need to tell WCIU to get their [expletive] together when it comes to HD or pull every game from their channel. It's unbearable; and the same goes for the Cubs and Sox broadcasts on WCIU.

I would post this in Rants, but no one would know what I'm talking about...I figure Chicago area Bulls fans can relate.

Poppovich is on the refs even more than Jackson. And that is saying an awful lot, key word being awful. Also, it irritates the hell out of me.

Through Saturday, Player X has averaged 22.2 points on .444 shooting with 4.6 rebounds, 8.3 assists and 1.8 steals. He has been his conference’s player of the week four times. Player Y has averaged 24.9 points on .439 shooting with 4.2 rebounds, 7.9 assists and 1.0 steals. He has been his conference’s player of the week twice. They are essentially the same player, in other words. Player X is more efficient and a better rebounder and thief, but Player Y scores one more basket per game. Yet Player X isn’t even considered the most valuable player on his own team. And Player Y is about to be named the most valuable player of the entire league. Why Y? Perception is not reality. Reality is reality. Player X (Russell Westbrook) isn’t viewed like Player Y (Derrick Rose) because winning alters all, even facts, even if one team is 53-19 and the other is 47-24. Exceed our expectations, and we’ll give you trophies you don’t deserve instead of admitting that our expectations were, um, wrong. They should just rename the MVP trophy The We Didn’t Expect To See Rose Sitting Atop LeBron In The Standings Award. Rose has been named the best player in his conference two weeks this season. Two. So, too, has LaMarcus Aldridge. How can you be the most valuable for the entire season when you were only the most valuable in your conference two weeks?

All the love Rose is getting could definitely be spread around a bit. It does get a little tiresome, but that is just the nature of NBA/sports coverage.

It's really strange to see all this backlash that Rose is getting on the MVP when he hasn't even won the thing yet.

I think he pretty much has it wrapped up. And I can't think of a better candidate. But the level of Rose saturation in NBA coverage is getting irritating.

You must hate this thread then, jajaja.

I don't know, I love Derrick, and seeing him carry his team so often is a factor, but I'd like to see an MVP be a little more efficient than he is.

Those are some extremely weak arguments from the Miami Herald writer.
