I've heard Kim Anderson. Former player and assistant under Norm, now coaching at CMSU. Other than that I know nothing about him.

He's from Sedalia, where I went to high school. And the guy spoke at some athlete's dinner thing when I was a senior in HS. Watching him speak was about as interesting as watching flies [expletive].cardsfansince82 wrote:I've heard Kim Anderson. Former player and assistant under Norm, now coaching at CMSU. Kim Anderson would have the benefit of viewing Mizzou as a destination job, but he's also extremely risky since we don't know how he'd do recruiting and head coaching at the D1 level. He's also going to be 56 at the beginning of next season, so even if Mizzou is a destination job, how much longer does he want to coach?

Old and boring is not good re: Anderson.
I doubt anyone could explain to me why Matt Painter would leave Purdue for Mizzou.

Because threatening to go to Mizzou is a great way to get a raise.

I still remember Kim Anderson well from basketball camps as a kid. He was really a great guy.
You never know but it's hard to imagine Alden going back to the past for this pick.

This man gets the game. It's the game I thought MA was playing, but in reity, he was playing the game in reverse (basically telling Arkansas, I'll just stay at Mizzou if you don't give me what I want).Transmogrified Tiger wrote:Because threatening to go to Mizzou is a great way to get a raise.
Gregory would have success quickly with the players in place if that factors at all. Be leery of hiring Oral Roberts coaches, it's not hard to win in the Summit League. Every coach they e had has won there, and then found the going tough elsewhere. Plus, they underachieved this year, and were shockingly bad when they played Missouri State.
Smart is a total job hopper. Look at his resume, he's always out at his first chance.
I'm surprised Buzz isn't on your short list. Seems like a great fit if he doesn't go to Oklahoma.

There's a lot of bad history with Mizzou and Buzz. It'd be like the Cardinals going out and acquiring Johnny Cueto.phins wrote:I'm surprised Buzz isn't on your short list. Seems like a great fit if he doesn't go to Oklahoma.

If they're looking at Gregory, I don't know why they wouldn't look at other guys in the same conference first, specifically Mack and Mooney. Gregory has great pedigree, but his results have always been short of impressive at Dayton. Sean Sutton would be a disaster. Buzz Williams can go pound sand as far as I care.
