So I'm flipping around between all the March Madness channels and I accidentally ended up on Fox (American Idol) when this guy is performing. Kind of inbetween games so I decide to watch. He is TERRIBLE and I thought "oh man this guy won't last long". Turns out he was last year's winner, "your reigning Idol" as Seacrest called him.
WTF? How did that guy win anything??? Jeez I'm glad I don't waste my time with that show...

I agree. He couldn't keep in tune. The Bowersox woman he beat was MUCH better musically and presentation wise. Last year was the first year me and the wife paid any attention to Idol. I hope James Van Der Beek was paid enough to buy a Caribbean island to make that video. Otherwise, his head does belong framed on a wall.
And kudos to the director of that video, who probably hated Ke$ha, and purposely made her look stupid.
This was the case of Carl Sagan's Cosmos: the director thought Sagan was a douchebag, and made sure he came across that way:
